1. Introduction
NOTE-KU (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a sudoku application and method. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the NOTE-KU website and app at noteku.app and note-ku.app.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect personal information through the app. NOTE-KU stores all game data locally on your device using your browser’s localStorage. This includes your player name (“Player” unless you change it), NoteCoins balance, owned items, active theme, settings and daily counters. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.
Visit statistics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — for example, which pages are visited, the approximate country, and the type of device and browser. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. It does not tell us who you are, and we do not combine it with any other information. You can opt out with Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
3. Purchases and Emails
If you order a digital product (such as the Starter Pack) or write to us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to answer you, deliver your order and provide support. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list without your consent. Payments made in cryptocurrency are recorded on the public blockchain of the network you choose; payments made through a third-party store or payment provider are subject to that provider’s own privacy policy.
4. Advertising
NOTE-KU may use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. NOTE-KU itself does not collect or process any data related to advertising.
5. Children’s Privacy
NOTE-KU is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR). The app has no accounts and no chat, and never asks for personal information, so NOTE-KU is safe for children to use. Parents and guardians can review or delete locally stored game data by clearing their browser’s site data at any time.
6. Your Rights
EU/EEA users (GDPR): Since the app does not collect personal data, there is no app data to access, correct, or delete on our end. You may clear your local game data at any time through your browser settings. If you have emailed us, you may ask us to delete that correspondence. Visit statistics are processed by Google as described in section 2, and you can block them at any time.
California users (CCPA): We do not sell personal information. We do not collect personal information through the app beyond what is stored locally on your device.
Argentine users (Ley 25.326): No personal data is collected, stored, or processed by the NOTE-KU app on any server. All app data remains on your device.
7. NoteCoins
NoteCoins are the in-app virtual currency of NOTE-KU. They have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, transferred, exchanged, or refunded, and exist solely within the NOTE-KU app on your device.
8. Third-Party Services
NOTE-KU uses Google Analytics for visit statistics and may use Google AdSense for advertising; Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. The app loads its code library (React) from the jsDelivr content network. We use Netlify to host the site; Netlify’s privacy policy is at netlify.com/privacy. Like any web host, Netlify processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and secure the site.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of NOTE-KU after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
